    Degreasing

    Cleaning the surface, and ensure surface is free from all organic matter

  • 02

    Pickling

    This is to remove heavy and tightly adherent oxides, films, resulting from forming, heat treatment, welding & other high temperature operations.

  • 03

    Passivation

    The acid cleaned surface shall be Passivated using the chemicals at room temperature as a final operation.

  • 04

    Ferrocyanide Test

    If pickling and passivation process is perfect no any color mark show on object.

    Saftey Precautions

    Conduct job Safety Analysis for hazardous communication.

Testing Details For Pickling And Passivation Of S.S. Equipments

Our Test Details

    Ferricyanide Test

    Ferricyanide Test will detect iron salts that form at the bottom of rust pits on blast-cleaned steel.

    Litmus Paper Test

    Litmus paper test on steel, The main use of litmus is to test whether a solution is acidic or basic. Light-blue litmus paper turns red under acidic conditions, and red litmus paper turns blue under basic or alkaline conditions.

    Copper Sulfate Test

    The copper sulfate test is intended to test the effectiveness of passivation. It can also be used to determine if there is a need for passivation. The principle of the test is based on an oxidation-reduction.

    Cuso4 Test

    Another use of Cuso4 Test is that it is highly corrosive to steel, iron, and galvanized pipes. It cannot be stored in metal containers and must only come in contact with stainless steel.
